About Tinsel
Tinsel is a Christmas gift tracker built for the part of the holidays nobody enjoys: the spreadsheet. It keeps every person on your list in one place, with their budget, the gifts you have in mind, what you have actually bought, and where each one is hiding once it is wrapped.
Each person gets a running total, so you can see who is covered and who still needs something. Gifts move through simple stages — wanted, ordered, delivered, wrapped, hidden — and you can note the hiding spot so you are not hunting the closet on Christmas Eve. Clothing and shoe sizes sit right beside the list, so you are never guessing in a shop.
It is made for families, partners and anyone shopping for a dozen people at once: parents coordinating cousins, grown children splitting a grandparent's presents, or one organised person holding the whole family's list together.
Tinsel also makes sharing easy. Send a read-only list to relatives so nobody buys the same thing twice, or send someone their own private link so they can add what they actually want. When a list feels thin, the built-in idea generator suggests real, buyable gifts, using Amazon links that may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Tinsel is built and maintained by a small independent maker who was tired of losing receipts in a notes app. It asks for as little as possible: your email, your lists, and nothing else.
